Three officers from the Effingham County High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America, along with two potential officers and their advisor Karen Waltz, attended the recent FBLA Fall Leadership Conference/Competition in Athens.
All of them participated in the opening ceremony, where they were entertained by a motivational speaker. The following morning started off early as officers and members attended training for the areas they plan to compete in for region competition. Next they attended different leadership tracks based on the offices they hold or plan to hold.
Chapter president Drashti Patel, vice president Rajvi Dave and Jenise Harden formed one team, while treasurer David Ciolko and Sri Chitluri formed another team, to play in the the largest Monopoly tournament in Georgia. They joined many others across the state to test their money-making skills. The students also partipated in the FBLA scholarship basket fundraiser, and Ciolko was one of the lucky ones to bring home a basket filled with chocolate goodies.
