Local students make SCAD dean’s list

SAVANNAH — Five students from Effingham County were named to the dean’s list at the Savannah College of Art and Design for spring quarter 2013.

Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher for the quarter receive recognition on the dean’s list.

Local students earning dean’s list honors were:
Robert Fetzer of Guyton
Amanda Hein of Guyton
Maci Lorenz of Guyton
Daniette Owens of Rincon
Brittany Porter of Springfield.

Alexander placed on president’s list

Laura Elizabeth Alexander of Rincon was named to the University of North Georgia president’s list for her academic performance during spring semester 2013.

Students achieving a 4.0 grade-point average and carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester are placed on the president’s list.

Alford makes merit list at Oxford College

ATLANTA — Cleothia Alford of Rincon was named to the merit list of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, for the 2013 spring semester.

Students must earn a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester to be named to the merit list.
