Effingham County Chapter 31243 through its “Care in Communities” program presented Sam Edwards, recipient of a lung transplant in March, a check raised in a joint benefit held by Thrivent and Effingham Hospital’s Better Breathers Club. These funds were raised to help Edwards with the costs of medications needed to prevent rejection of his new lung.
