Rev. Lloyd Dees of Effingham County has been named the chairman of the Coastal Regional Commission’s Area Agency on Aging. Rev. Dees’ post is a two-year term. At the April 28 first quarterly meeting of the AAA, director Dionne Lovett discussed the outcome of three General Assembly bills that affect Georgia seniors. Two passed and another will take additional advocacy efforts for the next session.

Rev. Dees took over for outgoing chair Rev. Henry Frasier of Liberty County.
