UDC observes Confederate Memorial Day

The Effingham County Hussars Chapter No. 2285 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy presented Crosses of Military Service Medals at the Confederate Memorial Day Service held April 27 at the Guyton City Cemetery, near its 26 unknown soldiers section.

The two recipients are veterans who are descendants of Confederate soldiers.

Cynthia Arnsdorff received the Vietnam Conflict Military Service Medal for Bobby Clyde Arnsdorff.

Gilbert Marshall Zeigler received the Global War on Terror Military Service Medal.
