Ready2CONNECT, in partnership with the Effingham County School District and the Effingham County Fair Committee, will host Effingham County's 12th Annual Back-2-School Blowout July 25 from 5-8 p.m. at the Effingham County Fairgrounds, 409 Zoller Dr., Springfield.

For the first time in three years the event will be in-person and walk-up. “We're committed to making this event a success for our community. Join us for our first walk-up, in-person, engaging back-to-school event in three years,” says Destiny Wright Bradshaw, executive director of Rincon-based Ready2Connect.

“Can you believe it's been 12 years? We made it through rain, extreme heat, COVID, and a whirlwind of venues. Thank you to the hundreds of community members, sponsors, donors, and volunteers who engage with families to share valuable information, resources, and school supplies,” Bradshaw added.

In July 2012, the Back-to-School Blowout served 263 students. In 2024, Ready2Connect is preparing for 1,500. Rincon Chevrolet and Rincon Chic-fil-A are again sponsors and collection locations for school supply donations.
