Motivational speaker George Fields will serve as the keynote speaker for the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce 22nd annual meeting, set for Thursday at 7 p.m. at Effingham County High School, Chamber President, Freddy Long announced.
“We are excited about having Mr. Fields and know that his inspirational and enlightening message will be a big hit with our members and guests,” Long said.
Fields is known as a gifted speaker and motivator. Audiences love his stories and yarns told in a relaxed, down-home voice and manner.
Fields has so much fun doing what he does, people often ask for the recipe:
What are the keys to success and self-confidence?
• Building and strengthening daily interactions with co-workers, customers and family.
• How to improve your memory and make it work for you.
Prior to becoming a full-time entertainer, Fields was a YMCA youth director, a college athlete, a soldier and a church staff worker. He is a husband, father, seminary graduate, good neighbor and good friend to all.
Chamber officials will also present the Treutlen Award to honor Effingham’s outstanding citizen of the year, and recognize other Chamber volunteers for their service to the organization.
Reservations for this event are $35 each. Corporate tables of six, eight and 12 are available. Tickets for the event are sold on a first-come, first served basis. RSVP deadline is June 1. Call the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce at 754-3301 for reservations.
