Tess Moore Hynes, a native of Effingham County and an MBA graduate of Georgia Southern University, has joined the staff of the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, Chamber President Michael Lee announced.
Hynes serves as the organization’s special events/member services manager and began her duties Monday.
Among her responsibilities, are the marketing and member services aspects of the Chamber. Hynes will work directly with the Chamber’s marketing and special events committee as it builds a new chamber brand. She will also manage the Chamber’s Web site and implement communications and outreach services for the organization’s 500 members.
Hynes will also be responsible for Leadership Effingham, the Chamber annual meeting, the Effingham community retreat and shop local campaigns conducted by the Chamber.
“We are very excited to have Ms. Hynes on board,” Lee said. “Tess brings a great skill set to us and has the enthusiasm, energy and background to be effective in our community.”
Previously, Hynes served as a sales executive for Lamar Outdoor Advertising for five years. As a graduate assistant, she also conducted market research for Georgia Southern University.
Hynes describes herself as an energetic and focused individual.
“I am passionate about working with business owners and operators and helping them grow their businesses,” she said.
“I also like the idea of being a part of an organization that is building a better future for Effingham.”
Hynes has also served as a volunteer for a number of animal rescue organizations in Coastal Georgia.
“It’s important for me to help save homeless animals,” she said.
Hynes and her husband Adam were married in 2008 and live in Springfield.
