RINCON -- The Effingham Industrial Development Authority (ECIDA) held a ceremonial groundbreaking for its new 30,000-square-foot, Class A office building, 100 Enterprise Drive (Hwy. 21 and Old Augusta Road), Rincon.

The facility is expected to address the growing demand for premium office space in Effingham County, with 13,000 square feet of leasable office space available upon completion. Available office suites range from 1,000 to 8,000 square feet, with leasing set to begin next summer.

“This Class A office space marks a major advancement for Effingham County’s business community by addressing the increasing need for high-quality office facilities,” said Brandt Herndon, CEO of the ECIDA. “We are confident this facility will serve as a cornerstone for economic development, providing local businesses and new enterprises with a modern and efficient location to thrive.”

In addition to serving as the headquarters for the ECIDA, the building will feature four leasable suites and a large, open-concept office space on the third floor, designed to accommodate a variety of tenants.  The new office building will also include a large training room which can accommodate a wide range of professional uses.

“The construction of this new building emphasizes the evolving nature of Effingham County’s business landscape, reflecting its adaptability to modern demands and its focus on fostering long-term economic growth,” said Matt Saxon, Chairman of the ECIDA. “Its strategic location at the entrance to our community symbolizes growth, innovation, and limitless opportunities. We are proud to deliver this landmark that will serve as a foundation for continued progress and success.”

Construction of the building is underway and is set for completion in late 2025.
