ATLANTA – Two committee meetings will be held Monday, Nov. 25 in Atlanta.
The Senate Study Committee on the Preservation of Georgia’s Farmlands, chaired by Sen. Billy Hickman (R–Statesboro), will hold its final meeting to propose and adopt the committee’s final report.
The Preservation of Georgia’s Farmlands committee will meet at 10 a.m. 450 State Capitol, 206 Washington St. SW, Atlanta. The meeting is open to the public and will be livestreamed on the Georgia Senate website at: bit.ly/3LteDZT.
Education and Youth, Higher Education
The Senate committees on Education and Youth, and Higher Education will hold their second joint meeting of the interim, also Nov. 25, beginning at 1 p.m.
The meeting will be held at 307 Coverdell Legislative Office Building, 18 Capitol Square SW, Atlanta. The event is open to the public. The committee meeting will be livestreamed on the Senate website at bit.ly/3Onfddb.
The committees, chaired by Sen. Clint Dixon (R–Gwinnett) and Sen. Billy Hickman (R–Statesboro) respectively, will focus on different pathways to teaching and the successes and challenges associated. An in-depth meeting agenda will be posted also on the state senate website.
