The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Suppression Unit arrested a man after a large amount of cocaine was found during a traffic stop.
On Jan. 15, the ECSO Drug Suppression Unit made contact with Domminick Robbins, 45, after conducting a traffic stop. Robbins initiated a pursuit that ended when he crashed his vehicle on Go-Cart Road.
After a brief foot chase, Robbins was taken into custody.
Robbins was in possession of 253 grams (8.9 ounces) of cocaine. Investigators also seized $27,821 in cash. Investigators say additional arrests are expected after this investigation.
Robbins was arrested and is being charged with fleeing, trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, failure to stop, and reckless driving.
Robbins is being held at the Effingham County jail without bond.
