Effingham County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported possible shooting in the vicinity of Rosewood Drive and Noel C. Conaway Road (Hwy. 30) in Guyton, late in the evening Jan. 13.

A spokesperson for the ECSO confirmed that deputies responded to a fight and when they arrived, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No arrests have been made, according to ECSO.
