Multi-agency search warrant leads to arrest of Bryan County man
Seized drugs and weapons in Pembroke

BRYAN COUNTY -- A Bryan County man has been arrested after a search warrant was issued and drugs and guns were seized.

The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Suppression Unit and the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on a home in the 2500 block of Beulah Church Road in Pembroke around 10 p.m. Feb. 11.

During the warrant search, investigators found 70 grams of Methamphetamine, 25 grams of Fentanyl, 3 grams of crack cocaine, 1 gram of powder cocaine, 8 firearms and $2,000 in cash.

Thomas Smith, also known as ‘Preach,’ was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule II-controlled substance, two counts of trafficking in illegal drugs, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and use of a communication device and conspiracy to violate Georgia's controlled substance act.
