Malik Zaterra Harrison, Hwy. 21 Bypass – driving while license is suspended, using a cell phone while driving.
Scott Cook, Holly Lane – wanted person in Chatham County.
Incidents
Crescent Drive – Springfield PD responded to a call regarding a custody dispute.
ECSO lobby – Deputy met with a man who wanted to report that another man (known to him) made threatening gestures to him while driving.
Old Louisville Road – a woman reported that her husband was trying to break into her house. The couple is going through a divorce and the woman didn’t want her husband on the property, although deputies informed the woman that the man still had a legal right to be there. The man told deputies he just wanted to retrieve bills from the woman. The woman finally complied, and the man left the property to avert any more confrontations.
ECSO Lobby – a man reported that a vehicle has been observed on several occasions doing “burnouts” in the parking lot of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witness on Standard Lane in Springfield. The “burnouts” cause gravel in the parking lot to fly about and potentially cause damage to the building. The man provided ECSO with video of the vehicle.
Wallace Drive – a man reported that an unknown person cashed a check from his account in the amount of $4,990.71. He informed his bank and it was able to refund the funds to his account. The bank requested a police report to document the fraud.
Teal Drive – a woman reported that an unknown person allegedly and fraudulently transferred more than $2,000 from her bank account. She is working with her bank to rectify the issue. ECSO suggested that she sign up for fraud alerts from one of the credit monitoring services.
Blandford Crossing – a man reported he was scammed out of $2,000 from an unknown caller claiming to be from the ECSO. The caller demanded that the man pay the $2,000 fine with two Walmart gift cards for not showing up for jury duty. The deputy advised the man that ECSO never asks for money over the phone. The man was advised to report (and record) any future calls from the same number and give them to the ECSO Criminal Investigations Division.
Skinner Bay Drive – ECSO deputy responded to a call of an abandoned vehicle. Deputy observed that the vehicle showed signs of having been stolen as several parts were missing. The deputy located the VIN via the manufacturer’s sticker inside the door and was informed that the car had not been registered since 2008. The car was remanded to a tow service.
Goshen Extension – a man reported he was receiving threatening calls and texts from a former employee.
Mt. Pleasant Road – a man reported that at an unknown time and date, an unknown person allegedly broke into his camper. A window and the door were damaged.
Hwy. 17S – a woman reported that a house she was house sitting had an open door when she arrived. She told deputies that she had closed and locked the door the previous day. Deputies entered the house and determined that nothing was damaged or missing.
Central Boulevard – a Parker’s employee reported that a man in a black hoodie entered the store and took a “handful” of CBD oil containers and left the store on foot. The employee was unable to give deputies a description of a vehicle or the suspect’s direction of travel.
Westminster Drive – a man reported that he heard gunshots. He found the window to his backdoor shattered. Deputies found a bullet between the windows and also several bullet holes in trees and fence line. ECSO is continuing the investigation.
Hwy. 80/Old River Road – Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident where the driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel, drove the car into and out of a ditch where it became airborne and stuck a power pole. Georgia Power was called to shut of the power and safely remove the vehicle from the pole.
Hwy. 21/Ralph Rahn Road – Deputy responded to a vehicle abandoned on the roadway with its flashers on, but no driver. The deputy was unsuccessful contacting the registered owner, and the vehicle was towed.
Hwy. 80 – a woman reported that she was being harassed at her residence by another woman claiming the first woman owed her money.
Sinclair Way – a man reported that his girlfriend had blocked his car with her car and wouldn’t move it. The girlfriend told deputies that the man had been mentally and emotionally abusive toward her.
