Springfield Police Department

Arrests

Jonah Joseph Valezquez, Hwy. 21 bypass – speeding (81 mph in 55 mph zone) and driving while license is suspended.

Uriel Castro Analco, Hwy. 21S – light-reduction material on windows, driving without a license.

Kenneth Darrell Brown, McCall Road – DUI (under 21) and improper stopping on roadway.

 

Incidents

First Street – a woman reported that Amazon delivered her packages to the wrong address. The owner of the house where the packages were mistakenly delivered has not returned the packages to her.

Holly Drive – deputy was dispatched to a home for an electrical fire. Effingham County Fire responded and extinguished the fire without injuries. Incident was documented per Chief Wynn.

South Laurel St. – a woman reported that a person unknown to her entered her business (Bubbles Laundry) holding a baseball bat. Officers investigated the property for damage or theft.

Arrests

Rodrigo Garcia Delgado, McCall Road – Terroristic threats and/or actions.

Leighana Shea Hollingsworth, Springfield Egypt Road – DUI, obstructing or hindering law enforcement officer.

Wilbert Jefferson Johnson, Carroll Avenue – Criminal trespass.

Federico Marin Martinez, Old River Road – Wanted person in Henry County.

 

Incidents

Hwy. 119 N – a man called to report that he caught his neighbor’s dog injuring one of his chickens. Deputies issued a warning to the dog’s owner.

McCall Road – a woman reported that she and her boyfriend had a verbal fight that turned physical. By the time deputies arrived the boyfriend had left to stay in a local hotel.

Courthouse Road – a woman reported that a check she had sent to an appraiser in Richmond Hill never arrived. An unknown person had cashed the check. The woman reported the incident to her bank and closed the account.

Low Ground Road – a man reported that he agreed to loan an employee a car to help him get to work; however, the employee had not made the agreed-upon payment of $100/week for the past three months.

Possum Trail – deputy responded to an ongoing complaint of dogs running loose. After many attempts, the owner of the dogs was cited for allowing dogs/puppies to run loose. The owner was advised that the county animal shelter offers no-cost spay and neuter services.

Elkins Cemetery Road – a woman reported that a man who came over to her house to pick up tires he purchased from her may have stolen her dog – a red-orange pit bull/terrier named Riley.

Candleberry Way – a woman reported that her son and his girlfriend had a breakup and she observed the girlfriend’s car on their street and garbage was being thrown from the car into the woman’s yard.

Blackwater Way – a woman reported that she and her boyfriend had an argument. She told deputies that he kicked her car several times leaving dents in the body; and she had run over his motorcycle causing damage to it. The boyfriend left the scene before deputies arrived. They were unsuccessful making contact with the boyfriend.

Hwy. 30/Chatham County line – Deputies responded to a call of a missing person with a two-year-old child. The child was located in Ellabell. Neighbors told deputies the woman was at an address on Noel C. Conaway Road “a week ago” and was last seen walking toward Chatham County.

Murray Hill Road – a woman reported that a bulldozer at C & B Sand Plant was found with its engine running, but no one was operating it. Deputies investigated and determined the bulldozer hadn’t been moved from its location.

Ellis Drive – Deputies responded to a call of a disorderly person.

Old River Road – a woman from Stark Forest Products reported that a load of 960 2x8 treated planks were not delivered to their intended destination in New York. Both the load and the truck are missing.

Courthouse Road/SR 17 – a woman reported that her car had run out of gas. When she returned 45 minutes later, the car was not where she left it and filed a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle is a 2004 black Kia Sedona, GA plate SBU4101.

Dogwood Way – a man reported that he wanted to have his son evicted from the house. Deputies instructed him on how to proceed.

ECSO lobby – a man reported that his ex-wife had used a credit card and his bank account to pay bills, even though she legally was not supposed to have access to his accounts. The man has since changed his accounts and was informed of his next actions.

Ladessie Zeigler Road – a man reported that a visiting relative had become disorderly and made threats against other family members.

Old River Road – a man reported that when he pulled into a gas station, another driver exited a vehicle, verbally threatened him while holding a gun, then drove off.

Railroad Avenue – a Windstream employee met with deputies at the Clyo Trading Post to report that a woman customer became disorderly when the man informed her that he needed to order a part to finish repairs and she would be billed for the part and labor. The woman had taken the man’s cell phone while he was talking to his supervisor. The supervisor heard the entire confrontation and advised the employee to leave and call law enforcement.

Oliver Kildare Road – a man reported that his mother got upset with him for “saying a curse word” while disciplining his child.

Arnsdorff Road – a woman reported that she and her husband had an argument that turned physical. The husband left before law enforcement arrived. The woman indicated she would seek help from a victims’ advocate agency.

Barrister Circle – a man reported that his live-in girlfriend was harassing him over not having enough blankets to sleep.

Roebling Road – a man reported that ratchets and other items were missing from beneath a flatbed trailer parked on the property he was taking care of.

Old Augusta Road – a man reported ongoing arguments and issues with his wife.

Shearouse Road – a man reported that another man drove up to his house and verbally threatened him.

Ballastone Circle – a woman reported that her license plate was missing from her car.

Brittney Lane – a man reported that his son and live-in girlfriend had an argument and the girlfriend was refusing to leave.

Greene Drive – a woman reported that someone damaged her mailbox, possibly with a vehicle.

Wildwood Lane – a woman reported that her daughter was missing and possibly had driven into Chatham County.

Hwy. 17S – a man reported that a zero-turn lawnmower was missing and presumed stolen. The missing mower is red and gray with “MT1” spray painted on the right side.
