Arrests

Angelicque Constance Hoffman, Frontage Road – simple assault, family violence.

Whitney Kelton, Hwy 21/Dunaway – expired registration, driving while license suspended for “failure to appear.”

Delante Towan Shamsiddin, I-16/MM 149 – driving in excess of posted speed limit (106 in 70 mph zone); failure to maintain lane, DUI.

 

Incidents

ECSO office – a woman reported that she was being scammed via phone. The caller told her to send money threatening to “freeze her bank account and suspend her Social Security.” She told deputies she had already sent $5,200 by bitcoin. ECSO deputy advised her to block the number and call ECSO if anyone showed up at her house demanding money.

Honey Ridge Road – a man reported that a woman punched him in the face after she allegedly told him to not come onto her property.

US Hwy. 80 – a woman reported that the tires were allegedly stolen off her truck at Home Town Auto Care.

Riverbranch Road – a woman reported that a package delivered by Amazon was stolen off her porch. The value of the contents was $319.99.

Kensington Circle – a man reported that a firearm he purchased from an old high school friend came up on a report as stolen. The firearm was entered into evidence.

Mill Creek Drive – a woman reported that she wants her son’s girlfriend to move out of the house. Deputy advised her of the court process for eviction.

Usher Place – a couple reported that their grandson stole $1,000 from their bank account. They wanted the incident documented in case the grandson failed to repay the amount within the agreed-upon time frame.

Sandhill Road – a man called to report that an unknown person allegedly stole a green Ford Ranger from his property.

Brandon Avenue – a woman reported that she was being scammed over the phone. The callers said Savannah PD was going to arrest her unless she paid a $6,000 fine.

Hwy. 21 S. – a man reported that a male customer made threats to an employee regarding the employee moving some trucks so the customer could drive his RV out of the storage lot.

Covered Bridge Plantation – a man reported that his wallet containing more than $1,200 cash and his identification papers were missing, possibly stolen.

Tuckasee Boat Park/Landing – a man reported than an unknown person(s) vandalized the bathrooms leaving soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers and toilet paper dispensers damaged.

Mill Pond Road – a woman reported that there was a “for sale” sign on property she owned that she did not list for sale. Deputies advised her to contact the real estate company.

Sparrow Lane – a man reported that his car caught on fire. He was able to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher.

Standard Lane – a woman reported that she was scammed out of $700 she sent via a cash app to a person who identified themselves as being from Magistrate Court. The deputy told her that the court will never call to demand money.
