Matthew Meine Moore, Hwy. 21/Commerce Drive – speeding in excess of posted speed limit (77 mph in 55 mph zone); DUI.
Francisco Antonio Lopez, Hwy. 80/Sandhill Road – failure to obey stop sign, driving while unlicensed.
Roland McCarr, Cypress Ridge Run – violation of Temporary Protection Order.
Fernando Jose Mendez, Hwy. 80/Arlington Drive – driving without a license; citation issued for nonworking headlight.
Alex Morris, Noel C. Conaway Road – disorderly conduct, pedestrian under the influence of alcohol.
Chace Haden Hall, Tuckasee-King Landing/Morgan Cemetery Road – DUI.
George Eddie Faircloth, Watson Mill Road – citation issued for criminal trespass.
Incidents
Hwy 80 – a Parker’s manager requested a police report on an employee who has been seen on camera taking food items from the store and not paying for them.
Long Bridge Road – a deputy on patrol observed an open side door of an abandoned house. After investigating with another deputy, it was determined that nothing was missing or damaged inside the house. Deputies made sure all doors were closed before leaving the property.
Hwy. 17S/Harry Lindsay Road – a man reported that an unknown driver pointed a firearm at him and then sped away.
Old River Road – a man reported that an unknown person(s) allegedly stole his truck from where he parked it the night before.
Foster Street – a man reported that the person he rented his car to via the Turo app did not return it, claiming it had been stolen. The car is a white Toyota Corolla.
Bradford Drive – a woman reported that overnight an unknown person(s) entered her truck and removed $23 in cash and a mason jar filled with assorted change – approximately $50. The truck was unlocked.
Bay Road – a man reported that at an unknown time, an unknown person(s) damaged the rear window of a county-owned JCB excavator the man said he parked near his residence. The deputy looked for surveillance footage of the area, but was unsuccessful.
Mockingbird Lane – a woman called saying she and her live-in boyfriend had an argument over several hours because he would not take her furniture shopping.
Dove Lane – while on patrol, deputy observed an open front door to a residence. The deputy observed there were no vehicles on the property and investigated inside. According to the property manager, the residence is currently vacant, but that the company has been having issues with the door being kicked open. The deputy made a follow-up call to the property manager and advised her to secure the front door.
Tara Street – deputies responded to a call about a white pit bull mix dog running loose in the neighborhood. This is an ongoing issue. Neighbors want to remain anonymous fearing retaliation.
Red Oak Lane – a man reported that his adult daughter was acting disorderly and just wanted her to leave.
Linton Land – a man reported that an unknown person(s) hacked into his CashApp account and purchased a number of gift cards totaling just over $2,000. He called his bank and advised it of the fraudulent activity and also deleted his account information from the app.
Vale Royal Drive – a man reported that his son’s girlfriend attacked him, threw a Christmas decoration at him, which caused a bruise on his leg. The man’s son had taken the man’s wallet and cell phone, so a neighbor was asked to call 9-1-1. The son and his girlfriend fled before law enforcement arrived. The man indicated he wanted to press charges.
Wigeon Way – a woman reported that she and her husband had argued about a missing piggy bank that was full of coins. The woman added that her husband had been drinking and became belligerent over the incident and he eventually left the residence.
GA Hwy. 21 – a man wanted to report that a coworker at the Love’s McDonald’s had assaulted him when he asked for a bathroom break. The alleged incident happened last week. The man is special needs and was afraid to call law enforcement.
Old Augusta Road – a man reported that the person who rented his car via the Turo app missed the drop-off time. The man tracked his car to Parkers on Old Augusta. After law enforcement arrived, the car was returned to the owner.
Effingham Middle School – a woman reported that she and another woman got into a verbal argument during a basketball game.
