Arrests

Jenerifer Renee Chambers, GA Hwy. 21N – wanted person by Macon PD.

Martin Jaurez Ortiz, Ash Street Ext. – failure to maintain lane, driving without license, driving without insurance.

Don Kersey, Standard Lane/Wallace Drive – citation issued for knowingly driving with a suspended license; driving without insurance.

Michael Roy Montalvo, Hodgeville Road/Goshen Road – failure to maintain lane, DUI.

Brandon Jerimiah Jenkins, Hwy. 21/Ninth Street – obscured or missing license plate, possession of marijuana, possession of Schedule I controlled substance.

Peyton Wesley Houston, Exley Road S – battery, family violence.

Dena Rae Wages, Victoria Circle – disorderly conduct.

  

Incidents

Hwy. 119 – a woman reported that at an unknown time someone or something damaged the rearview mirror on her car.

Springfield PD – a woman reported that her ex-husband threatened to come to her house and cause bodily harm to her and her new husband; and also take their child from the child’s school as the couple has joint custody. The woman said her ex-husband has not communicated with the child in over a year.

Springfield PD – a woman reported that the tag for her trailer must have blown off while she was driving and pulling the trailer behind her car.

Springfield Elementary – SRO responded to a fire alarm in the school. As a precaution, students and staff evacuated the building. After investigation, SRO determined the alarm to be false and informed administration that it was safe for students and staff to re-enter the building.

Springfield PD – a man reported that a pair of sunglasses he purchased from the Ray-Ban store at the Tanger Outlet in Pooler had not been shipped to him as promised. He had the receipt as proof of purchase. The purchase totaled $408.53.

ECSO office – a man reported that an unknown person tried to deposit one of his checks at an ATM in Chatham County. The bank stopped the transaction as the check appeared to be altered and no funds were lost.

Chimney Road – a man reported that when he returned from work his puppy’s crate in the garage was empty. Upon investigation, deputies discovered one window and the backdoor open. Deputies concluded an unknown person(s) entered the house through the window, entered the garage and took the puppy – a four-month-old brown and white American bully named “Stackz”. Nothing else of value seems to have been disturbed or taken.

Old River Road – a man reported that his semi-truck was damaged while attempting to leave the loading dock at AmeriCold.

Stillwell Clyo Road – a woman reported that her husband’s firearm was missing after they returned from a trip in October. She is not sure if the firearm (Smith & Wesson SVDE 9mm, Serial #FYS4943) may have dropped out of her husband’s pocket while he rode around their property to shoot snakes.

Reedsville Road – a man reported that a chainsaw and an impact (combined value $1,720) were allegedly taken by an unknown person(s) from a storage shed that is normally locked with a chain and a padlock. Nothing else appeared to be disturbed or missing.

Old Dixie Hwy. – a man reported that unknown person(s) were allegedly illegally hunting deer on or near his property. He found a deer carcass in a ditch that allegedly had part of its meat cut out.

Little McCall Road – deputy responded to an animal complaint and found 16 cats in cages and 12 more running loose. Most of the cages were dirty with dirty water. The cats also needed veterinary attention. There were also a number of dogs that needed grooming in kennels that were relatively clean with water. The owner said she was trying to get the cats spayed and neutered. She was advised to clean up the cat cages and she said she would. Deputy reached out to Humane Society to help the owner with spay and neutering the cats. Neighbors had stated there were deceased animals on the property, but the deputy did not observe any deceased animals. The owner was issued a citation and has a January court date.

Hwy. 17 – a woman reported that as she was driving past a property where a landscaping crew was mowing the grass, rocks or debris flew out and caused damage to the side of her truck.

I-16/mile marker 148 – deputies and ECFR responded to a vehicle fire. The vehicle appeared to be abandoned. The driver returned and said the vehicle turned off on him, he pulled to the side of the road when the engine started smoking and then was on fire.

Brookfield Drive – a female member of a Skytec crew reported that a male neighbor to the property where they were working started yelling racial slurs and harassing the crew. The man accused the crew of damaging his property.
