Arrests/Citations

Miguel Yoni, Charlton Road – battery, family violence (first offense).

Amanda Williams, Fay Street – citation issued for pigs roaming at large

Deonna Heyward, Mulberry Way – citation issued for dogs running at large (ongoing issue.)

Adolfo Angel Roblero Morales, Hwy. 21 Bypass – failure to maintain lane, driving while unlicensed.

Bayron Francisco Mairena Diaz, Hwy. 21S -- failure to maintain lane, driving while unlicensed.

Jasmine Marie Stratton, GA 119S – speeding in a posted school zone (51 mph in a 35 mph zone); driving while license is suspended, possession of drug-related objects.

Marcos Jaimes Acuña, W. Madison Street – nonworking tag light, driving while unlicensed.

Demond Andre Thompson, Old Dixie Hwy. – speeding in a posted school zone (34 mph in a 25 mph zone.); possession of marijuana.

Stephan Devon Ball, Hwy. 21 Bypass – DUI refusal, giving false information to law enforcement, driving while unlicensed.

 

Incidents

Zittrouer Road – a man reported that he was a victim of financial fraud.

Sisters Ferry Road – a Georgia Power foreman reported that an unknown vehicle at an unknown time left the road and crashed into a power pole snapping it in two. The vehicle was not at the scene when the foreman arrived. An accident report had not been filed regarding the incident.

Bluff Drive – a man and a woman reported that they wanted to issue a criminal trespass complaint regarding a second man who formerly had permission to use the first man’s truck, but that agreement has since been terminated.

Godley Road – a man reported that he believes he was the victim of a possible theft.

Hwy. 119/Hwy. 21 – deputy conducted a traffic stop on a tow truck responding to a call that the vehicle on board may have been stolen. The tow truck driver provided the paperwork stating that the vehicle had been repossessed. The vehicle was removed from the national and state databases for stolen property.

Old Dixie Highway – a man reported that while delivering materials to a job site he was bitten by the owner’s dog. The dog owner said the dog had never bitten anyone before.

Windchime Court – a woman reported that after she had paid for a washer and dryer through Facebook Marketplace, she was required to pay a delivery fee. The seller failed to deliver the appliances at the agreed-upon day and time and the woman is asking for the delivery fee to be refunded.

River Oak Road – deputies were dispatched to a home regarding a civil matter. A man who is still legally an owner of the house also filed a burglary report.

Caribbean Village Drive – a man reported that his ex-wife (whom he still lives with) was missing. Her description was entered into the missing-persons’ database.

Hunter Road – a woman reported she was receiving threatening texts from her son’s girlfriend. Deputy advised the woman to block the girlfriend’s number from her phone.

Cypress Creek Lane – a man reported that his neighbor’s dog – a pit bull mix – entered his yard and bit him on the leg. The man punched the dog in the mouth and it ran back home. The owner of the dog advised deputies the dog was not up to date on its rabies vaccines. The victim said he would get medical care for the bite.

Ash Street Ext. – a woman reported that an unknown person(s) allegedly hacked into her EBT card account and made purchases in Philadelphia and New Jersey even though she was in Springfield during the dates of the transaction. She has since received a new card and notified DFCS of the fraudulent charges.

Third Street – a woman called Springfield PD because during a verbal argument, her brother was threatening to beat her.

Fourth Street – Springfield PD received an APS (Adult Protective Services) referral regarding possible elder abuse.
