Arrests/Citations

Terry Purvis, Hwy 17S – disorderly conduct, obstructing law enforcement, fighting.

Roy Taylor, Golden Drive/Goshen Road – citation issued for dumping a dead hog next to the road.

Spencer Singleton, Mt. Pleasant Road – criminal trespass.

Taura Walker, GA 21 Bypass – cocaine possession, DUI (marijuana)

Bertrum Herron, GA 21 Bypass – cocaine possession.

Incidents

Buckskin Court – a woman reported that she found piles of raw shrimp, a brick, and a cut-up banana in her yard.

John Glenn Drive – a woman reported that there was a crack the entire length of her car’s windshield, possibly made by a fallen large, closed pinecone from an adjacent tree.

US Hwy. 80 – a female Parker’s employee reported that a male customer became upset when the employee would not exchange a package of cigarettes when the man said he bought the wrong kind. The employee contacted her manager via cell phone and asked the man if he wanted to talk with the manager. The man went out to the parking lot with the employee’s cell phone and proceeded to stomp on it. He then got into his vehicle and left. The employee’s phone was not damaged, but the next time the male returns to the store, the manager wants to charge him with criminal trespass.

DeForest Lane – a woman reported that her ex-boyfriend withdrew $150 from her CashApp account. It is unknown if the woman gave her ex-boyfriend access to her account. Attempts to contact the ex-boyfriend were unsuccessful.

Effingham County Hospital – deputy responded to a man reporting being bitten by a dog. The man stated he had been in his yard cleaning up storm debris when the neighbor’s dog (an Akita) attacked his dog in his yard. The Akita bit the man while he was trying to separate the dogs. Deputy went to the neighbor’s house. The neighbors assured the deputy that their dog was up to date on its rabies shots.

Silver Hill Church Road – a man reported that an unknown person allegedly swapped his brand-new hubcaps for older ones. The new hubcaps were valued at $160.

Effingham Parkway/Blue Jay Road – a man reported that an unknown person allegedly dumped a pile of trash at the worksite.

Burns Way – a man reported that an unknown person allegedly purchased $5,000 worth of furniture with his credit card.
