Arrests/Citations

Peihua Wyng, Road Atlanta – simple battery.

Kerry Moore and Maggie Lee, Old River Road/Chatham County Line – possession of marijuana, possession and use of drug-related objects; manufacturing, delivery, possession of Schedule 1 substance (methamphetamine) and a small amount of fentanyl; Moore and Lee were also wanted by Pooler PD for possible auto theft.

Highland Drive – a man reported he wanted a criminal trespass citation issued to “Elaine” who was acting disorderly on his property.

 

Incidents

Franklin’s Walk – a man reported that a mortgage loan was taken out on his house, which he is trying to sell. The man believes the loan may have been in error.

Reedsville Road – a homeowner reported a trespasser on his private driveway.

Central Blvd. – a woman reported that a female coworker threatened to “punch her.” The coworker advised the deputy that the woman overhead a private conversation and denied saying anything about punching the woman.

SR 21N, near Screven County Line – Deputies were dispatched to a singer-car accident with airbags deployed. Screven County Sheriff had issued a BOLO for a car matching the description. The car was recently stolen from Screven County. Screven County Sheriff worked with the registered owner to remove the vehicle from Effingham County.

Cherry Street – a woman reported that a male who shared her residence had punched her in the face during a heated argument. Deputies observed no marks or bruises on her face.

Old River Road – a woman reported that an unknown person had damaged her mailbox with a motor vehicle.

Beauregard Road – deputies responded to a call regarding three juveniles playing inside three homes under construction. Deputies observed one broken window, but no other damage.

Goshen/Commercial Park Drive – a woman reported that although a former male roommate had finally returned her vehicle, he still has not returned her cell phone and hair extensions, among other items.

Dogwood Way – a man and a woman reported that they have been having an ongoing issue with neighbors playing loud music. The music is allegedly turned down when deputies arrive and turned back up when deputies leave.

Railroad Avenue – Deputy met with a woman at Effingham Hospital regarding a dog bite. The woman required stitches on both hands and was tested for rabies exposure. Deputy returned to Railroad Avenue to locate the dog, but was unsuccessful.

Timberlake Drive – a woman reported that she had not had contact with her son, Joseph Gleason, in over a month and reported him as missing. Other family and friends had not heard from either. He has not showed up for work with Savannah Pedicab for the past month.

Hwy 21S – Deputies responded to one-vehicle crash. Driver refused EMS and his wife (who arrived on scene afterward) said she would take him to the hospital.

Jerrel Woods Road – A woman reported her truck (2000 GMC Sierra) as stolen when she saw an ad for it on Facebook Marketplace. The truck is registered to a female relative and parked at this relative’s house. The woman believes the truck was involved in an accident and is being sold for parts.
