State troopers from the Rincon Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 19 traffic crashes during the month of November in Effingham County.

Sgt. 1st Class Riner said the traffic crashes resulted in 17 injuries and one traffic death.

Riner said troopers from Post 42 also issued 589 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes 10 arrests for driving under the influence, 140 citations for speeding, 291 seat belt violations and 11 child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 351 warnings.
