Early voting underway in Rincon special election

Early voting to fill the vacant Rincon City Council seat is in full swing now at Rincon City Hall. Rincon residents who are registered voters may cast their ballot at City Hall each weekday between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and also Saturday, Sept. 9 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Absentee ballots may be requested until Sept. 8. Election Day is Sept. 19. Absentee ballots must be postmarked on or before Sept. 19 to be counted.

Kevin Exley and Eric Hills are vying for the seat vacated by Damon Rahn, who resigned in June. Rahn’s term is through 2025.

The three seats up for election on Nov. 7 are for four-year terms that begin in January 2024.
