Happy homeschoolers at Joyful Acres
Joyful Acres farm in Springfield hosted a group of 70 homeschoolers and their parents for a field trip on Sept. 21. The families were from Effingham, Chatham, Bryan, and surrounding counties. The kids most likely had never seen a turkey before it gets to the Thanksgiving table and these turkeys loudly welcomed them with a chorus of “Gobble, gobble, gobble!” (Photos by Barbara Augsdorfer/Effingham Herald.)
