Mask mandate returns to county buildings
COVID-19

SPRINGFIELD -- Data from both the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Center for Disease Control shows a marked increase in COVID-19 cases over the past week, and in a response to keep staff and visitors healthy, masks are now being required to be worn in Effingham County-owned buildings.

This mask requirement covers county buildings only and does not include schools or privately owned businesses.  County buildings will provide a mask for those who do not have one with them at the building entrance.

Effingham County officials further recommend following advice from the Georgia Department of Public Health and ask that residents make smart personal health choices, including social distancing, sanitizing, and getting the COVID-19 vaccine if you haven’t already.  To find out additional information regarding current data, testing locations, or where to get vaccinated, call your local Georgia Department of Public Health office or visit   https://dph.georgia.gov/
