Southern Motors celebrates 95 years in SE Georgia
Southern Motors 95th anniversary
Southern Motors, 1500 GA Hwy. 21, has been at its current Springfield location for 30 years. However, the family-owned dealership with locations in Chatham and Effingham County has been in business since 1929 and is currently celebrating its 95th anniversary. The owners, starting with current co-owner’s grandfather Julius Kaminsky, credit the dealerships’ success to treating everyone – employees and customers – like family. The dealership has sold cars to succeeding generations of the same family.
