· The Effingham Hospital, Inc. Strategic Planning Committee meeting is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 19, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Kieffer Hall Community Room at Effingham Health System.
· The Effingham Hospital, Inc. Professional Affairs Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 22, beginning at 5:30 p.m.in the Kieffer Hall Community Room at Effingham Health System.
· The Effingham Hospital, Inc. Finance Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 22 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Kieffer Hall Community Room at Effingham Health System.
· The Effingham Hospital, Inc. Board of Directors Regular Session meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 23 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Kieffer Hall Community Room at Effingham Health System.
The meetings are open to the public on the campus of Effingham Hospital, 459 Hwy. 119 in Springfield.

Area student named to LaGrange College VPAA’s List
LaGrange —Benjamin Epperley of Springfield, was recently named to the LaGrange College Fall Semester Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) List. To be eligible for this honor, students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.6 while taking a minimum course load of 12 hours.
Georgia’s oldest private institution of higher learning, LaGrange College has been ranked as a top college and “best value” among 99 Southern regional colleges by U.S. News & World Report. Baldwin and Rogers promoted by EMC Engineering Services
Savannah -- EMC Engineering Services, Inc., (EMC) headquartered in Savannah, announces the promotions of Richard Baldwin, PLS and Cody Rogers, PE, to associate owners.
Baldwin joined EMC in 2015 and has been a project manager for more than 15 years. Currently Baldwin serves as EMC’s Augusta survey manager.
When not hard at work, Baldwin enjoys traveling and attending his children’s sporting events. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. Baldwin is a member of SAMSOG, NSPS, and the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce.
Cody Rogers joined EMC in 2015 as a Jr. Design Engineer. Rogers’ dedication and hard work earned him a promotion to project manager in 2021, and he currently serves as EMC’s Statesboro Branch Manager.
Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Georgia Southern University in 2015, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Rogers was part of the first graduating class after GSU‘s program received ABET accreditation.
Outside of work, Rogers enjoys fishing, reading, gardening, and values time with his wife and their daughter. Rogers has served as a past president of the ASCE Savannah Chapter and is currently an industry advisor to the ASCE Georgia Southern Student Chapter.

Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire Hosts Free Workshop
The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire, 5105 Paulsen St., Suite 125D, Savannah, is hosting a free Restorative Practices Workshop, on Jan. 26. The workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 10:30 a.m., led by Sherlisa Praylo.
The workshop is designed to provide an introduction to Restorative Practices and the Restorative Conferencing process.Praylo is the Mediation Center’s director of restorative practices and community outreach, who has earned Academy of Dispute Resolution credentials in juvenile delinquency mediation training.
Restorative Conferencing allows those who are directly involved and affected by an incident, as well as supporters and other representatives, to meet in a safe environment to discuss what occurred.
Facilitated by a neutral third party, these conferences provide an opportunity for responsible parties to take accountability for their actions and serve as a stepping stone to repairing and restoring relationships, reducing the impact of harm and building healthy communities.
Workshop attendees will also learn about volunteer opportunities at The Mediation Center, ways to get involved as a Restorative Conference Facilitator and opportunities to resolve conflict in local schools, diverting students from the juvenile court system.

Savannah Technical College selects Sanders as Executive Director of Human Resources
SAVANNAH – Savannah Technical College has selected Jasmine Sanders as its Executive Director of Human Resources. She is responsible for directing the College’s human resources functions including compensation, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, training and payroll.
Sanders has more than a decade of experience with human resources management. Most recently, she was a talent development manager for Virginia Peninsula Community College, Hampton, Virginia. She specializes in employee and labor relations, talent development, inclusion and diversity, business operations, and information systems.
She has a master of business administration (MBA) and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Troy University, Troy, Alabama. She has been an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Federal Investigator since 2021 and a Title IX Coordinator since 2022. She is a member of Global Diversity and Inclusion, Diversity Recruiting Strategy, Psi Lambda, Business Analyst Professionals and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
