PORT WENTWORTH -- Five dollars will buy relief from St. Patrick's Day parking problems in Savannah.

The City of Port Wentorth has contracted with Chatham Area Transit (CAT) for a shuttle service to the nation's second-largest St. Patrick's Day celebration on March 17.

Shuttle service will be provided to the St. Patrick's Day Parade from 7 a.m.-11 a.m. It will depart from Port Wentworth's Rice Creek Elementary School and drop parade-goers off at Savannah's Intermodal Transit Center on Oglethorpe Avenue.

Return shuttles from the transit center to Rice Creek Elementary School will start at noon and end at 4 p.m.

CAT will sell wristbands riders must wear to gain access to the shuttle. They cost $5.
