Reddick cracks SI's list of top 100 players

In its current issue, Sports Illustrated features a listing of the top 100 players in Major League Baseball according to its baseball writers.

Effingham County native Josh Reddick of the world champion Houston Astros is ranked 66th.

Reddick, a 31-year-old outfielder and South Effingham High School graduate, hit .314 last year. He scored 77 runs and knocked in 84.

In 2012, Reddick won a Gold Glove while with the Oakland A’s. He broke into the majors in 2009 with the Boston Red Sox and has also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He won the Astros’ Heart and HustleAward in 2017.
