SPRINGFIELD – Get ready for an experience of music, memories, and artistry with Rhythm and Rhyme, a brand-new songwriter’s series coming to the Mars Theatre.
Rhythm and Rhyme dates are: Jan. 21, Feb. 25, March 25, April 29, and May 28.
Hosted by Dean Sams, founding member of the multi-platinum country group Lonestar, Rhythm and Rhyme takes participants behind the music with some of the biggest names in the industry.
This exclusive five-show series features performances and conversations with hit songwriters, giving you a unique insider’s look at the heart and soul of songwriting. Each artist will share their personal stories, inspirations, and creative processes behind the songs they’ve written, offering a fresh perspective on the iconic tracks fans know and love.
“Rhythm and Rhyme is more than just a concert,” says Sams. “It’s a chance to connect with the music on a deeper level, to hear the stories behind the songs, and to appreciate the artistry that goes into creating them.”
The Rhythm and Rhyme lineup includes:
- Dean Sams, founding member of Lonestar, performs and hosts every event.
- Marty Dodson: singer/songwriter writing for Carrie Underwood, George Strait,
"Everybody Wants to go to Heaven," performed by Kenny Chesnee - Clay Mills: singer/songwriter penning such great hits as "Beautiful Mess" by Diamond Rio
- Lauren Mascitti: Nashville's rising star, performing "God Made a Woman," an American Idol finalist that soared to #4 on iTunes.
