The Rincon City Council has scheduled a special called meeting for Thursday, June 29, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The brief agenda includes the appeal hearing for suspended City Manager Jonathan Lynn and an executive session.

City Attorney Raymond Dickey set the procedures during the June 26 City Council meeting and will chair the hearing.

“Mayor and majority of council will present a statement outlining the reasons for termination. Jonathan Lynn will have an opportunity to respond to the reasons for termination and to convince mayor and council not to continue with termination by correcting the issues raised by (the) mayor and council,” Dickey outlined. “Mayor and council and Jonathan Lynn shall have an opportunity to respond with any further information.”

The hearing is open to the public and members of the public may respond on Lynn’s behalf if he presents them to the mayor and council, Dickey added.

The hearing will be held in the council chambers at 107 W. 17th St., Rincon.
