Senate Study Committee meeting Sept. 25 on preservation of Georgia’s farmlands

ATLANTA — The Senate Study Committee on the Preservation of Georgia’s Farmlands, chaired by Sen. Billy Hickman (R–Statesboro), will hold its third meeting at the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m.

The Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition is located 290-G. Harper Blvd., Moultrie. This event is open to the public and will be live-streamed on the Georgia General Assembly website: Georgia General Assembly - Schedule (ga.gov).

The committee is tasked with studying the conditions, needs, issues, and problems related to the preservation of Georgia’s farmlands and recommending any action or legislation.
