SPRINGFIELD -- The Effingham County Board of Commissioners have an agreement with Griffin Contracting to enhance traffic flow along Kolic Helmey Road at South Effingham Elementary School.

 Contractors are slated to begin work on the site Tuesday and will maintain traffic flow along Kolic Helmey Road and access to adjacent properties throughout their construction process. 

The project is scheduled for substantial completion before school reopens Aug. 4. This intersection enhancement is being funded by the Effingham County Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST), and in accordance with the Effingham County Transportation Master Plan.
