South Effingham senior Cameron Edwards jumped a personal-best 47 feet, 1.5 inches Thursday and won the triple jump for the second straight year at the Class AAAAAA Boys State Track and Field Championships in Carrollton.
Edwards beat out Rockdale County's NaJiib Anderson's 46-0.5.
SEHS boys and girls set several school records at state. Aubrey Edge's 9-9 in the pole vault placed seventh and topped her previous mark of 9-6.
The girls 4 X 800 relay team broke the school record with 10:23.56 while placing seventh. The boys 4 X 800 relay team placed 10th, but broke a school record with a time of 8:16.08.
