Led by pitchers Julia Carter and Rylee Mills, the Effingham County Lady Rebels improved to 2-0 by beating Glynn Academy 4-3 in Brunswick on Aug. 19.

Carter and Mills combined to record 10 strikeouts. Carter allowed one hit and walked three with six strikeouts in the first three frames. Mills allowed seven hits and walks with four strikeouts while finishing the contest.

Addie Reynolds had a hit and two RBI from the leadoff spot to lead Effingham County at the plate. Enna Lackey had two hits.
