Effingham County High School’s junior varsity softball team extracted revenge on South Effingham on Thursday.

The Lady Rebels avenged their early-season 8-7 loss to South Effingham with a 7-2 win.

Taylor Connell pitched for the win.

The intra-county battle resumes today with varsity softball action.

Effingham County hosts South Effingham at 6 p.m. The game is a make-up game from last Tuesday’s rainout.

A few thunderstorms are possible for today’s game.

The Lady Rebels won the first contest between the two teams, 2-0 in August.
