Lady Mustangs tame Lady Wildcats

Hailey Pinette drove in two runs and hot-hitting Emily Laverenze added another RBI as South Effingham clipped Richmond Hill in softball Wednesday. The Lady Mustangs (12-3) fell behind 1-0 in the opening frame but scratched for one run in the third inning and two in the fifth to get the win. Laverenze and Allie Ergle paced South Effingham with two hits apiece., Pinette, Cheyenne Miller, Alexa Johanson and Alex Brown each contributed one hit. Kastin Belogorska was dominant in the circle, fanning 10 hitters without a walk.
