South Effingham had an impressive performance in the Evans High School Softball Invitational this past weekend.

The Lady Mustangs went 3-2 to finish third in the Gold Division at Patriots Park in Grovetown.
South Effingham won both of its pool games, defeating Harlem 10-8 and Aquinas 16-1.

In the gold division, South Effingham lost to Class AAAAA power Warner Robbins 1-0 and Class AAA power Oconee County 4-3.

South Effingham concluded its play with a 3-0 win over Evans.

The Lady Mustangs resume subregion 3-AAA (A) play today, hosting St. Vincent’s at 4:30 p.m. On Thursday, they host Burke County at 7 p.m.
