Savannah Christian will meet Cook County in the second round of the Class AA state baseball playoffs after ousting Vidalia in the first round.
The Raiders took the three-game series 2-1, winning the deciding game 14-7 Saturday. The Indians won Game 1 13-8 Friday night before the Raiders bounced back with a 13-5 win in Game 2.
In the opener, Andrew Drought went 3-for-5 with a double, David Elliott was 3-for-4 with an RBI, Alex Demaio was 2-for-4 with two doubles and a RBI and Kyle Jones was 2-for-5 with a double and a triple.
In the Game 2 win, Kaleb Wynn was 4-for-5 with three RBIs, Drought went 3-for-4, Elliott was 2-for-3 and drove in a run, Nate Sisolak was 2-for-4 and drove in a run and Jordan Hill was 2-for-5 with one RBI.
Sisolak, who got the win in Game 2, threw three innings in the third game for the win. Jonathan Hester was 2-for-3 with a double and drove in four runs, Drought was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Demaio was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Wynn was 2-for-4 and Elliott drove in two runs.
The Raiders will travel to Adel for the second round, with Game 1 Wednesday at 3 p.m. and Game 2 to follow and third game if necessary on Thursday.
